Fish Club
How clubs work
A club is a crew of up to 25 anglers fishing under one flag. Here is exactly how a crew scores, and what it takes to win a season.
- 1
Every inch counts
A club's score is the total length of every verified catch its crew lands. There is no limit on who contributes or how many fish they bring: three modest fish move the board as surely as one big one, which is what keeps a crew of two in the race.
- 2
The season is the calendar year
That total builds all year and clears on 1 January. A club founded in March is not staring at a number somebody spent five years building, and every season has a finish line worth pushing for in December. Your lifetime total sits alongside it and never resets.
- 3
Your catches count from the day you join
A catch counts for a crew if you landed it after you came aboard. Your career total still travels with you and shows on the club as history, but nobody can buy a standing by signing an angler with a long back catalogue. Standings move when somebody goes fishing.
- 4
The biggest club fish holds the water
Land the biggest verified fish any club has recorded at a lake and your crew wears that water's crown until somebody beats it. Crowns never expire with the season, and taking one from a rival tells their whole crew.
- 5
Every fish is reviewed by a human
A catch only counts once it is verified: the photo has to show the fish and the measurement. That is what makes a club standing worth something, and it is why nobody can pad a board.
Worked example
Cutthroat Cartel has three anglers. Across the year they log 41 verified catches averaging a shade under 15 inches. Their season total is 608 inches.
Wide Net has twenty anglers, but only six of them fish. They log 38 catches for 571 inches, and the Cartel takes the season with a sixth of the roster.
A big roster is only worth what it lands. The fastest way to climb is not recruiting your twenty-first member, it is getting your third one back on the water.
The metal on your crest
A crew designs its own crest: the shape, the pattern, the mark, the colours. The ring around it is the one thing nobody picks. It is the crew's standing in the fleet, and it changes when the standing does.
Roles and limits
- Captain
- Starts the club, approves who comes aboard, edits the crest, and can hand the helm to a Pro teammate.
- First Mate
- Can approve new members and send offers. Appointed by the captain.
- Member
- Fishes. Every verified catch counts for the crew.
- Roster
- Up to 25 anglers in a crew.
- Flags
- An angler can fly up to 3 flags at once.
- Crew chat
- Private to the crew. Trip plans, called shots, and the moment a teammate's catch goes official.
Joining a club is free. Every angler starts somewhere.
